Dezzarae Henderson, M.A, PHR-CA, SHRM-CP

BIO

Dezzarae Henderson is an experienced Human Resources professional. Her experience expands more than 20 years. She graduated from Chapman University with her BS in Business Administration and obtained her Master's degree from Azusa Pacific University in Human and Organizational Development. Dezzarae also holds three professional certifications. During her career, she has worked for major companies like Paychex, Inc., McDonald's Corp., General Motors, and San Manuel Band of Mission Indians/Yaamava’. In these roles, she combined her HR and business knowledge to help companies grow, develop talent, and implement strategies in highly competitive markets.

In 2017, Dezzarae incorporated and officially began her HR consulting firm- 4HiRE HR Solutions, LLC where she helps companies develop, strengthen, and grow their employment practices and systems. 

Since 2007 Dezzarae has worked in higher education as an adjunct professor teaching undergraduate and graduate courses primarily in the areas of management and human resources. She currently teaches as part of the HR certificate program at Cal Poly Pomona's School of Continuing Education and is an HR SME for Western Governers University courses. 

Being recognized as a knowledgeable HR partner, she was asked to be a content reviewer and item writer for HRCI's (Human Resources Certification Institute) PHR and the PHR exam for California. She has consulted for and trained leadership teams all over Southern California in management and human resources topics. In 2018 & 2019, she partnered with the County of San Bernardino's Workforce Development Board to provide support for Professional Edge graduates, along with giving HR and employer input on county programs for job seekers receiving social service benefits. Also in 2019, Dezzarae expanded upon her mission of helping businesses protect their profits by staying compliant. She did this by joining SCORE Inland Empire as a volunteer member and workshop presenter and educating businesses on HR laws that can affect them.

Dezzarae is a Southern California native and she enjoys giving back. She is a board member of the Youth Action Project (YAP), which is a non-profit that empowers the youth and young adults in the development of skills and habits needed to experience economic and social success. When she isn’t working and volunteering, she enjoys traveling with her 9-year-old son.
